Our Approach
Interaction with animals can have profound effects on individuals, fostering a sense of peace, purpose, companionship, and love.
Proponents of animal-assisted therapy (AAT) emphasize that nurturing a bond with animals enhances feelings of self-worth, boosts self-esteem, and builds trust.
The structure of AAT can be tailored to meet the specific needs and treatment objectives of clients, which may include home visits, community outings, or sessions within a therapeutic environment. These activities not only support mental and emotional health but also encourage social interaction with peers and provide opportunities for gentle physical activity, all contributing to a holistic approach to therapy.
Counselling can be an invaluable resource for those navigating difficult times or seeking personal growth. It's a space to explore thoughts, feelings, and behaviors with the guidance of a professional. Here are a few ways it can help:
Emotional Support: Talk through your issues with someone who listens without judgment.
Perspective: Gain new insights into your challenges and see them from different angles.
Skills Development: Learn coping strategies and communication skills to better handle life's ups and downs.
Self-Discovery: Understand yourself better, including your motivations and patterns.
Outcomes when the counselling journey is done right.
Clarity: Understanding issues better and gaining new perspectives can bring a sense of direction.
Empowerment: Learning new skills and strategies for handling challenges can foster a sense of control.
Connection: Building a trusting relationship with a counsellor can make people feel understood and supported.
Hope: Seeing progress and setting achievable goals can inspire optimism for the future.

“Lara and Maple have been what I’ve been searching for. I connected with their beautiful natures and from the very beginning I felt comfortable , this has helped me to learn and grow as a person but to work on areas of life I had been struggling with”
